Have you tried deep breathing for 3 minutes. I find this helps.

Yes I do that. But just wondered if it’s normal till my tablets start to kick in. And if any1 else av experienced it? Will this get better and eventually stop

Im only on my 3rd week on sertraline and only on 50mg and feel alot better than i did. I am still having palpitations especially if Ive been driving or the kids have been arguing or something. From what ive read on here and other internet forums sertraline takes its time to work and we obviously need to help it by eating better and sleeping better which is easier said than done when you have no appetite and night sweats.

My heart is racing today so im having a lie down and hoping tomorrow is better. I think we need to stick with the sertraline to give it chance. I also think you need to take it at exactly the same time every day ...Hoping you feel better soon ( and me!)

    Hello Deb,

If anxiety and palpitations are your usual symptoms prior to medication then Sertraline can make them increase, but either way just mention it to your doctor on your next vist if there still persistent or troublesome 🌹

Hi rose do you mean that sertraline can make my systems worse? Will it get any better the longer I’m taking them 🌹

      Hi Debs,

It can in the short term, initially when your first starting out, but your right it what your saying... the longer you take them, the more everything settles down and eventually evens out. 🌹

Hi rose do u think it’s still early days for me yet for the tablets start to kick in properly.ive been on the 4wks 2moz. Is it best to still stay on 100mgs for a couple of more weeks or go up to 150mgs 🌹

Hi Debs, I would say stick with the 100mg a while longer, if youve seen no benefits by 6wks... then increase 🌹

And also agree with Hoopz, taking your medication at exactly the same daily time helps to establish a good routine while your starting out and your levels are trying to settle 🌹
