Hi I started orlistat 5 days ago, and so far have lost no weight. I know I may be being a little eager I'm just so worried I won't get another prescription from my gp If I've not lost enough.

I struggle to exercise as I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis.  Any advice would be really appreciated x

Hi amy, I wouldn't worry your body needs time to get use to them. And if your like me I always loose inches 1st, did you measure your self first? What sort of things have you been eating? I can't exercise as I have a trapped nerve in my leg. X

Hi, no I didn't measure myself I didn't even think to. I've been trying to eat things 5g of fat per 100g or less. And cutting out chips and crisps (my biggest vice).

      For example today

Breakfast: 2 weetabix semi skimmed milk

      Lunch: healthy option sandwich

Dinner: turkey stir fry with loads of veg

And a low fat yogurt for desert

Hi. I started today lol id say you're weighing far too soon as on any diet they say no more than once a week. I too struggle with excercise due to fibromyalgia so that's my worry too. I was told I needed to loose 5% bodyweight in the first 12 weeks which for me is 10lbs so im not going to worry toouch early on. I'm sure it will show on the scales for you just give it time smile

From questions I jave asked there are people on here that have been following the plan a while so I'm sure they will be helpful with their experiences smile

    Good luck x

Hi Amy,  If you can try to locate britneyspears on here as she is a great help and sally000 both have helped me a great deal look on earlier discussions to find them.  I know britneyspears has lost a lot of weight and messaging her may give you a huge boost.  I would not weigh yourself yet, give the oralist time to get into your body and don't worry about losing the 5% body weight you will do it smile

Now thats a good idea Amy, wait for at least 4 weeks maybe.  My Dr asked me to come back in what will be 4 weeks time (second week of June) as he is going to weigh me then and he said I should have lost 5% of my body weight by then, and he will then repeat my prescription I guess it depends on your Dr.  I have got about 4.50 stone to lose.  I am going by the jeans and belt I had on the day the Dr weighed me for my BMI and after 10 days I have moved a notch in on my belt so that has given me encouragement until I go to the Dr's. Its a journey were all on and one day at a time, we will get to our desired body weight smile
