Hi Rosie, first of all, congratulations! I've never had PND myself but my advice would be to alert your GP, midwives and family to be ready to monitor your mental health both during the pregnancy and after the birth. Make sure you have as many people in place to watch for warning signs so that if you do begin to dip, something can be done straight away before things slip too far. It's often very hard for us to see ourselves when we are starting to become depressed. Speak to your GP as they might be able to suggest something. What you don't want to be doing is spending the whole pregnancy focusing on and worrying about what might happen. You want to be able to look forward to your baby's birth. Just do what you can now to get things into place 'just in case' and then try and enjoy your pregnancy.
Best wishes xx

Thanks for your reply, ! Yes your right, i will be sure tell my GP midwife etc this time,
Last time i just lied, told everyone i was ok, but i wasn't, Silly now i think about it. I was just so embarrassed and didn't want to be judged , but now im very open and honest with family and friends etc so they are all prepared
Fingers crosses this time will be different, Positive thoughts
