I was at the doctor a few days ago. I was told I had high bilirubin levels.
The doctor wants me to go back for another blood test and ordered a ultra sound. She said there might be Gallstones blocking a duct.
But after reading online, I found it could be pancreas cancer or liver cancer . I have virtually no pain, a Little now and then but nothing serious. Makes me think it not gallstones. I have been feeling a little nausea now and then also for awhile. Actually removing my gallbladder seems like the better news. I am scared of liver or pancreas cancer. I am 60. I go in next week for blood work to confirm bilirubin high levels. I will probably die from stress before then. Has anyone had a similar story. Thanks in advance

Jerome, I'm sorry you're going through this! Please try not to project yourself into the worst case scenario, if you can help it. All of us have fears, and some of us have had to live with medical uncertainty for a very long time.
Try to take it easy and take things as they come. Best of luck to you. Please let me know how you get on.

It's no good worrying about things you may well not have so I hope you don't do that. I know we 'thinking people' have colourfull imaginations and soon jump to conclusions but that is not the right way of approaching
anything that happens to us now is it? Be positive don't drink too much and eat the right things to keep healthy........ If you do have gall stones which are the cholesterol type they can be dissolved with tablets called Ursodioxycholic acid as mine were. Take no notice of anyone who disbelieves that quote of mine... Many a chemists knows what Urso is capable of as do a few Gastroenterologists but it can be a job finding one. Best wishes & try not to worry-------- sometimes easier said than done!
