Hi just really need some reassurance from you lovely lady's I have been on here before with HRT questions and insomnia questions. This week so far has been a very anxious time I had a smear test done 11 days ago which came back as a high grade severe pre- cancerous cell change today I have had a colposcopy and a LLETZ procedure done and now I have to 3-4 weeks for results I am also at the breast clinic tomorrow as a few weeks ago I noticed a hard patch in my right breast it's not a lump and you can't move it so I'm wondering if it a gland it's just causing my anxiety to go through the roof as now I'm thinking is it more sinister. And I'm seriously thinking about coming of my HRT as all these things going on in my life I feel going through the menopause naturally may be kinder to my body.
Any advice would be lovely at this worrying time.
Thank you
Karen

If I were in your position I would not be taking HRT and would want to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible to discuss condition of my breasts and results of tests.sincerely

Thank you for your reply Pauline, I have seen a consultant today about my breast and had a mammogram and a ultrasound done and thankfully all clear just glands that are slightly swollen but no further treatment necessary. But I am going to come off HRT as the consultant did say HRT can cause problems like tender and lump and bumpy breasts and with having a smear that's found pre-cancerous cells and now waiting for biopsy results I am fearing I have cervical cancer.

Have you had any further news on your colposcopy? I really feel for you - I’m in the same boat as you. I received a letter this week saying I was ‘low grade’ and that I had an infection called high risk HPV. I’m booked in for a colposcopy next month.
I stopped HRT about a month ago (had been on it for only 6 months). Reason being...doc found a lump on breast. Turned out to be a cluster of cysts, luckily benign.
So fed up, probably the same as you, I’m fearing the worst.

Hi Nicstead
It's only been 10 days since the LLetz procedure and they said the results of the biopsy could take up to 4 weeks so no I haven't as yet but I think time has stood still or that's how it feels 😬 one minute I'm positive that everything will be ok and I will just have to have another smear in 6 months to check all ok and then the next minute I'm picturing me getting a phone call to tell me I have to go back to the hospital to see the gynaecologist to talk about what treatment is next it's a nerve wracking time so I feel for you to. And HPV is very common it's a virus that can go by itself eventually but some people have it for many years.
Have you had a colposcopy and a LLetz procedure before?

Hi Nicstead
I had my results back today from my LLetz procedure they found CIN 3 pre cancerous cells but they got rid of them all with the procedure and no cancer was found 😆 so now got to have a cure smear in 6 months to make sure its clear.
I still haven't come off my HRT patches I wanted to get this all sorted first and to be honest I want to find something for my hot flushes as I know they will start as soon as I come off HRT.
How are you doing?

Karen,
Sorry to ask another question... but did you suffer much discomfort after the Letz procedure & biopsy?
Reason being is I’m pretty certain I will need this as I’m high risk HPV.
Cheers
Nicky
