Hi Brenda ... think that as to be up to you and your doc what’s best for you on a increase... still early days yet for you, your looking at around 10.12 weeks to settle and you WILL  have up and down days so try not to take that to heart, on whether Prozac is working for you... I’m on 60 mg and it’s been 9 month since I first started Prozac, and I must say I feel good, I still have a blip now and again, but I’m going through the menopause so hormones all over the place, for ME I was glad to go up to 60mg and it works..

Good luk on what you decide to do, big hug 🤗x

Hiya Brenda how are you doing today ?? I know what you mean with the feeling of unwell, but you will start to have good days more, and more as time goes on, so stick with it as you’ve come this far and doing well..

think we all just want Prozac to work as soon as we take the first tablet, but as crap as it is Prozac is just one of those slow meds, let us know how you are getting on, and if you do go up to 60 mg big hug 🤗x

Morning Brenda, hold on hon it will get better. I know getting through these days are a painful struggle but you will get there. You've already had some good days. Try and occupy your mind if possible. I did tons of puzzles, wrote in a journal. Made a list of small tasks I could accomplish. I forced myself out to walk my dog everyday. I hated it at first but it did help. Exercise really does help.

You can do this, you are so much stronger than this illness.

I’ve always managed to walk the dogs even at my worst they have been my life saver  even though at times I could have stayed under the duvet I’m out at least twice a day  just contacted gp to up my dose waiting for her to ring xx

HI Brenda, as Dawn said it usually takes 10-12 weeks for flou to settle into your system. What you are experiencing is probably a blip. We all have them. A few good days then bam you feel like you did in the beginning. These do pass and become less frequent. Use the diazepam is you need it. That's what it's for is to help you through the really rough days. I still take clonazepam once in a blue moon if I need to. When you see your doctor discuss what you think is best for you. It's a good sign if you are having good days. Take care of yourself and we are here to chat if you need some support. ????

I understand completely. I just came out of a blip. Cried for four days, was positive I would never feel good again. It does pass. You're lucky you can sleep. I can't nap or sleep in. I hope tomorrow is a better day. Let us know how you are doing. ??

HI sweetie... My doctor increased me by 10mg so I'm at 50mg. It was a week yesterday. I am feeling better than I have the past month.

That friggin flu is horrific this year. You're going to have to disinfect the little darling everytime he comes over then disenfect when he leaves. 🙄 😀 I thought you were going to try and slow down on the time you babysit. Are you feeling well enough mentally that this isn't too much? Other than the flu how are you? What's the weather like your way?

so happy to hear from you. I'm so thankful we've had each other through this struggle. You rock! ????

      Hi Donna,

I know how much of a struggle this is. I had every side effect there is. It does get better. Each time your dose gets increased you can struggle more again with the side effects. This is a very slow med to get settled in your system but when it does it works great. Most people find it takes between 10-12 weeks on a steady dose to see improvement. Everyone is different though. I know the fear of thinking you will never get better, the anxiety etc. it's the anxiety that is feeding your fears. I know it's incredibly hard but try and find something to occupy your mind. I did puzzles, word searches, coloring, I wrote everyday in a diary and I made myself go outside and walk my dog. Exercise really does help. It burns off the adrenaline associated with anxiety and releases endorphins. Another thing I did at my darkest times was to stop think about the future and all the what ifs. I would get through one hour at a time. I know how very painful and scary this is but you are so much stronger than you feel or think right now.  You can do this and you are not alone. I am here if you need to vent, have questions or need support. Hold on hon. You can do this. ??👍💪
