Wound feels warm

Had a RTHR six weeks ago my wound feels warm but not hot it is not red or weeping anywhere is this normal.

    Hi Susan it sounds likes your wound is perfect mine was hot and quite red some days but was still healing perfect

    Yes it is all part of the healing process with the muscles/scar by the sound of it. just monitor it and you could also ice it. if you have not had your 6 weeks checkup then mention it to the surgeon, if you have and are concerned speak with your GP. Good luck with the recovery.

    Yes  my wound was glued. Getting ready for possible swelling. I have some ice ready.

      Stretch stockings will control leg swelling and reduce dvt.

    Healing is quirky to say the least. Don’t worry unless it turns red, swells, gets warmer and or turns yellow/green or begins oozing. Then you should call your doc ASAP. I’m getting ready for my 2nd THP, having had my right hip done 2 years ago and now having my left hip replaced tomorrow, so I empathize totally.  Hope things continue to go well For you.
