Wrinkled/Flaky Glans?
Posted , 6 users are following.
Hey so i've been dealing with this issue for the last 4 years. The glans on my penis is so dry and wrinkly along with constant burning through the urethra and area between scrotum and perineum. Masturbation is quite painful/uncomfortable.
I have been to doctors and urologists and they say there doesn't seem to be any infection there which i just really can't believe. This is absolutely ruining my life. The picture below is a week into using canesten thrush cream 3 times a day and it seems a lot more agrevated. Can someone please help me?

try and see a dermatologist that is experienced in genital skin. looks like something is going on.
did you habe any unprotected sexual exposures?
the penis glans look slightly pale in colour above the rim. a genital dermatologist said this 'can be' signs of early stage lichen sclerosus, but in early stages is very difficult to diagnose.

I have not had any unprotected sex. I have been on many medications for acne so i think it has effected the skin

see a dermatologist as if youve had it for 4 years it needs to be a specialist to diagnose and treat. the penis head just looks quite pale.

Bro, a while ago I was having the same. Try washing your underwear by hand and apply 2 times a day (when you wake up and go to sleep) cream hypoglos for about 10 days, that eased me and now everything is fine.

Stop using the canesten - try to take a masturbation holiday for as long as you can. When masturbating the skin at the around the head and foreskin area experiences a great deal of friction, and this is further multiplied by amount of time you are actually masturbating.
When you say " along with constant burning through the urethra and area between scrotum and perineum " - this is a separate problem to the skin issue you have, you need to see a Doctor about this as you are likely to need oral medication to treat this. You need to see the doctor in the next few days, or go to a Walk-In health centre, or if you live in the UK you could go to a GUM / Sexual health Clinic at a general Hospital.
Update your Forum Post here once you have seen any medical professional ........

I have already seen many medical professionals, all of which cannot see a problem

Again, when you say " along with constant burning through the urethra and area between scrotum and perineum " - this is a REAL problem ...
Okay, you know there is a problem - sometimes there can be an issue of convincing someone like a GP / Regular / Family Doctor that an issue needs something other than canesten - as, for many doctors this is the first line of treatment.
I would be seeing another GP / Doctor at your medical practice, keep what you say simple, be firm and assertive, but not in an over demanding way.
You should not have a burning sensation - there are several things this could be, but at least a GP / Doctor should at least try some of the typical medications to resolve this ....
