Any guidelines as to when I could re-start my yoga classes? I'm 5 weeks post op for a posterior and perineum repair and have had no problems so far. Appointment with surgeon not until 2nd December.

gwen I would wait until you see your consultant in December. He's the only one who knows how well you've healed. It's not long until your appointment and I think 5 weeks post op is too early anyway.

Hi Gwen I saw a physio today and asked the same question. I'm 5 weeks post op and she said its prob best to wait till after Xmas as there's quite a lot of stretching in yoga

      Hi Alison

Sorry I'm unable to answer your question directly but just wanted to get in touch as I'm on the list for exactly the same procedure .

I had it done about 20 years ago but had 2 more children so undid all the good work and then put it off for way too long .

I'd really like to hear how you've managed as I have children and after 27 am single again so a little worried .

I know everyone is different but were you able to say get up to the shower and make a sandwich and maybe a coffee for visitors after a week ?

      Are you driving yet ?

Hope you continue to heal well .

And as selfish as it sounds I am so looking forward to looking better if you know what I mean ☺️

Hello sandy. I'm sure a few of us could answer your question but why don't you start a new thread and then you'll probably get a lot more answers?  You will need a lot of help from friends and family because you aren't supposed to lift anything even a kettle full of water in the early days and no heavy lifting for 6 months at least. You'll find things very different from 20 years ago. You won't be in hospital as long is one stark difference. If you start a thread with your question I'll give you more information.
