So sorry your having trouble with symptoms from that shot. I don't know anything about that but it probably does take time . Talk to your Doctor more about it and if it necessary. Keep me posted. What kind of surgery are you having?

I am having a myomectomy, and because of the size I had to go on the shots to help thin the uterus before.

Hi. I've just had 5th injection. Started December and op due May or June. I had a really bad period in January but nothing after although still get period pain and all the monthly symptoms!. I've struggled with depression just as feel so 'bluuurrrr' and had some bad headaches, leg cramps, backache, insomnia and the worst thing is sweating. However it's meant my fibroids have shrunk slightly so op will hopefully be less risky. Good luck

I had monthly injections and the first one made my fibroid grow pretty much overnight! I could barely walk or move. Caused by a surge in hormones apparently. I had decided I was not going to have anymore but stuck with it and it shrunk from 12cm to 3cm. And recently I had a hysteroscopic myomectomy to remove most of it. After about 9 weeks after my last injection... My period came back. My first normal period in such a long time! I didn't flood, I didn't have clots. I don't know how long it will last but in hindsight, I am so glad I got those injections. 👏
