Skin / Nail Disorders

This is a very wide-ranging category and contains information about different types of conditions affecting the skin. Some are common such as eczema, acne and allergic rashes (urticaria) and others are rarer such as scleroderma. Infections are covered such as chickenpox, fungal nail infections and boils/abscesses as well as skin cancers and their prevention. All of our doctor-authored leaflets have sections covering for example "What are the common symptoms?", WWhat treatments are available?" and "What is the outlook (prognosis)?" Very commonly seen conditions such as head lice, chillblains and cold sores are also covered to enable you to have the confidence to manage at them home.
