The Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD) is a deaf led organisation. They promote the welfare and interests of deaf people. They believe deaf people should receive the same access and opportunities as hearing people. They mainly support deaf people whose first or preferred language is British Sign Language (BSL) but also work with people with all forms of deafness including those who are hard of hearing, deafened, or deafblind. Their services cover the following areas:
  • Legal, Advocacy and Employment Services
  • Children, families and youth service
  • Deaf Community Development
  • Interpreting
  • Social Care
