The Organisation for Anti-Convulsant Syndrome is a registered UK charity founded to offer help and support to all families affected by the syndrome, giving as much information as possible in relation to other disabilities such as dyspraxia, autism, ADD & ADHD, hypotonia, dystonia and dystonic movements etc. Their main aim is to supply as much information as possible covering all aspects of fetal anti-convulsant Syndrome (FACS) in the form of booklets and giving contact names and addresses, including phone numbers of other societies or support groups who can help
Note: FACS does not only affect the children of mothers who have used anti-convulsants for epilepsy. This group of medicines is also used to treat bipolar, migraines, and pain syndromes such as trigeminal neuralgia. Please do not stop taking any medication but seek advice from your GP or specialist if you are trying to or think you may be pregnant.
