The Oesophageal Patients Association (OPA) is a registered charity that was formed by survivors of oesophageal cancer. The OPA offers support for people with a number of conditions affecting their oesophagus, including achalasia, in the following ways:

  • Telephone helpline
  • Support meetings
  • Booklets and leaflets
  • Restaurant and toilet cards
  • One-to-one support
  • Twice-yearly newsletter
