OPAAL is the Older People's Advocacy Alliance. It is is a registered charity with 175 member groups, which seeks to give the strategic lead in the development of independent advocacy for older people.
OPAAL's immediate aims
- To promote independent advocacy with older people as a right.
- To contribute to the development of standards, including greatly improved access.
- To develop better practice in the field.
OPAAL's Vision and Mission
A United Kingdom where all older people have access to high-quality independent advocacy provision.
To give the strategic lead on the development of independent advocacy with older people. They want to better service older people, their advocates and their carers.
