The Sheffield Trophoblastic Disease Centre was established in 1973, as part of a national programme, to screen for gestational trophoblastic tumours (a spectrum of disorders including hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma) for the North of England and North Wales.  The Centre's website offers information for women diagnosed with trophoblastic disease and for medical professionals caring for women with these rare disorders.
