St Margaret's is a voluntary adoption agency. They are located in Glasgow city centre and they recruit, assess and prepare adoption applicants from the West Central Scotland area. The main task of the Society is the preparation of adoption parents and this involves supporting placements through to the granting of the adoption order and beyond.

They can also offer advice and support to young women who are considering adoption for her child both during her pregnancy and after the birth so that she has as much information as possible to help her to come to the right decision for her and for her child.

Over the years the Society has placed a considerable number of children in adoption placements and they offer a service to those adopted people who wish to find out about the circumstances which led their birth mother to place them for adoption. They can assist adopted people who wish to trace their birth mother and facilitate reunion meetings where appropriate.

If you are considering adoption and would like to find out more please contact the above.
