The National Benevolent Institution (NBI) was founded in 1812 by Peter Hervé. The NBI seeks to help people from all backgrounds by the provision of financial assistance and also accommodation.

The NBI has residential properties in Berkshire and Gloucestershire. They provide accommodation for people over 60 who can maintain independent living. There is house manager support
