Young Foundations offers residential support, transition services and fostering placements for young people, who may or may not have a learning disability.
The social model of disability is used, alongside a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical support as and when the young person requires it.
Residential Staff who support the young people on a day-to-day basis focus on the outcomes which matter most to children and young people:
Being healthy - enjoying good physical and mental health and living a healthy lifestyle
Staying Safe - being protected from harm and neglect
Enjoying and achieving - getting the most out of life and developing the skills for adulthood through formal and informal education
Making a positive contribution - being involved with the community and society and not engaging in anti-social or offending behaviour
Economic wellbeing - not being prevented by economic disadvantage from achieving their full potential in life
