5 years post septoplasty, no mucus, dry nose and can't blow it. Empty nose syndrome ?

Hi everyone, I've had a septoplasty 5 years ago, normally it was not associated with turbinate reduction but as I have no access to my medical file I don't know.

Since then, I have a dry nose, not much crusts but it sometimes feels a bit stuffy and when I try to blow out , nothing comes out as it seems that I don't produce much mucus. Of course, I searched on the internet and they speak about the empty nose syndrome. However, this condition seems to have much worse symptoms then I have. I still am able to breath through my nose , I don't suffocate and I have no problems in adapting to the temperature as I still practice outside sports and went skiing twice for example with no real problem.I also work in a very sportive work with sometimes very high temperatures and it didn't bother. Also, cigarette smoke etc don't affect me and I still can smell and taste. I sometimes have migraines when I wake up. Is it possible to have a less threatening form of ENS ? Because here, the problem resides in the fact that i am not able to blow my nose anymore and that i have a dry one, i also have a lot of mucus going down my throat.

I tried to look at my nose myself and it doesn't seem empty, on the contrary, I have a big tumourous red thing that seems blocking it ?

I will put a picture of this red stuff so you can see it.

What do you think I should do ?

Thank you

that red thing looks like a hypertrophied inferior turbinate. Have you been to see ENT? They'll probably prescribe a steroid spray to attempt to shrink the turbinate.
