Has anyone any advice on obtaining Acebutalol as it has been discontinued in the UK. Ive been on 400mg 3 times a day for 20 years but now its discontined from the manufacturer, i have been started on Sotalol but felt that Acebutalol was more effective. Does anyone know any way around getting any?

I took Acebutolol 200mg for about 20 years and it was the best medicine that i have taken but my Doctor took me off and put me on metopropolol and It makes my mouth sore. My Daughter called the Doctors office and they said that Acebutolol was bad on my kidneys. I went 20 years and i am still alive. I can still buy Acebutolol at Walmart but it is more expensive but would buy it again if my Doctor would give me a prescription for it.
