Advice needed: super sore breast and more

I don't have many people to talk to so hoping maybe someone might have a similar situation to shed some light or advice on. About a month ago (I didn't pay much attention) my breasts both started feeling tender. I have endometriosis so my cycles are controlled every three months...that's when I realized this was different. Started poking around and felt how firm my right breast was. A few days after I noticed it had swollen about a cup size larger. Few days later so bad I could barely walk. Left one is sore and firm ish but nowhere near. Dr ordered a mammo and ultrasound. Everyone kept saying "it definitely feels different" but both tests didn't show anything. I feel what I would call more of a static knot about the size of a gift all maybe bigger and oblong ish. My doctor called a few days later when I told them nothing wasn't acceptable that this has never happened and it's not getting better w heat or otc as they said to do. Told me to wait two months and report back then. To me this is crazy. Left is becoming a little more tender and the right is crazy painful and itchy as well as still swollen. Wear sports bras and cut caffeine and they are guessing it's just fibrocystic changes...but this all just seems very off. Like when you know something more (an actual diagnosis of some kind at least) is going on.

Do I ask to see a specialist? I have been seeing my obgyn for this so far. I'm not sleeping because I can't lay anywhere near anything touching my chest and my ribs are almost starting to feel sore. Itching is becoming more and more with no visible rash.

Any recommendations are great because waiting is really scary to me

I probably should mention I'm 31, 2 children. Not sure if anything else is relevant

Hi, sounds like something similar. Last month (also not sure), I had 4/5 days when I couldn't move with my breasts so sore, never felt anything like it, couldn't movie barely out of bed in a morning with the overall tenderness. Went to GP who advised she found two lumps. Was referred to breast clinic 12 days later I had a mammogram and ultrasound and met the consultant. Everything was clear (even though I pinpointed the lumps and can feel them myself). The consultant thought it was hormonal. Said I had a larger and denser left breast and during my cycle more hormones are attracted to this side which caused the breast glands to swell. With my age (45) som elf the fatty tissue was pulling away and that the underlying tissue was being exposed.

I have no other menopausal symptoms.

Im going to see how it is in the next couple of months.
