Anaesthesia

hi. i had cataract surgery last week and when i was brought into the operating theatre i experienced rigidity in my upper body accompanied with a gaseous feeling. i told them but found it difficult to raise my arm. they then placed an oxygen mask over my face and very slowly, oxygen came in and next thing i remember is waking up back in ward with surgery completed successfully. i didn't mention it at the time as i was embarrassed and fearful. its the old hospital situation of not wanting to upset them but at my follow up appointment i will mention it just to be reassured that if i have to undergo anaesthesia in the future that it will be ok. i dont really care if they forgot to place oxygen mask on my face. even if thats the case, i will understand and feel better that it wasnt anything wrong with me. thanks for your patience for this long post ...
