I didn't have the same injury as you ,but my injury a Maisonneuve Fracture is still giving me bother nearly 7 months on.I am 54 years old and am still off on the sick with my company looking to get rid of me on capability grounds.I have been assessed at 30% loss of faculty in the ankle and being a postman walking 10/12 miles a day it isn't looking likely that I can do it again.Everything just comes to you at once sometimes mother in law and my brother passing away in a short space of time. Then my company wanting me to quit on voluntary ill health grounds. The old head hasn't time to take it on board.Unfortunately I haven't any news for you but I can empathise with your situation. Its not the finish of me but just maybe a change in career if I can get this injury cleared up and get walking pain free again.I hope your outlook gets better for you.By the way I am from Northern Ireland.
