Anterior & Posterior repairs plus sacrospinous fixation

I am 8 weeks post op and having all the horrible symptoms you all describe. I woke up one morning this week with excruciating pain from the sacral site of the operation. Movement pulls it painfully. This is the first time this has happened since the op. I'm worried something has gone wrong or wonder whether it's because the stitches are dissolving putting more pressure on my spinal ligament. Any thoughts on this? I'm very worried as I go back to work in a week.

Being 8 weeks post op, one would think there would be no pain. I am still having pain and pressure and difficulty with my bowels even though I still have to take something every day. I see my Dr. in two weeks and have a lot of questions to ask, so will get back to you then.

Thanks for replying. I don't have any other problems and the plumbing is working well. I've had a bad dose of thrush which has cleared but I still have a bladder infection which is being treated. Waiting for lab results of that.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I hope it settles soon for you. I'm due to have same operation at beginning of Feb, so am intersted in reading about the recovery process. Any tips or advice ?  Best Wishes

Thanks for your comment. All I can say is everyone is different. Time scales for healing are different. Never refuse pain killers and do as the tell you. It's very important to do your pelvic floor exercises even if it's a little at a time. All the best. Kind regards

Has anyone else had unsuccessful surgery and what was done to remedy it. My pain has now gone, but I still have a urine infection despite many antibiotics. I see my gp again this week. However I haven't passed anymore stitches but I felt a bulge happening in the shower. I pushed it back.  Not as bad as before but it looks like it's not been as successful as I'd hoped.

11 weeks now. Still can't get rid of bladder infection. Having stronger and stronger antibiotics which are giving me the runs. Doctor taking regular samples for testing. So I now have piles. Been back at work for a week and picked up a cold straight away. Sneezing and coughing is not doing my repairs any favours. One problem after another. Feel like my stitches will unravel like knitting. D-day on 25 Feb when seeing consultant.
