Appeal for ESA.

Does anyone know approximately how long it will take to get a result for an appeal for ESA?  We have sent in the mandatory reconsideration & were unsuccessful so now it has gone to the appeal courts.

    No one can really answer that. Just be prepared for a long wait. Good luck and hope the decision is in your favour.

      It is all people seem to be doing with these assessments & appeals, waiting & waiting.  Thank you for your reply.

    As Denise pointed out it is a long drawn out process.

    To me, it is grossly unfair that DWP can mandate reply timescales - 28 days from date of their letter which they send second-class - but expect us to sit around, and await for them to reply, oblivious to how this can impact on the claimant and add to anxiety. 

    I hope you are successful in your appeal and the wait is worthwhile. Good luck.
