Autoimmune Pancreatitis in Children

Posted , 1 user is following.

I have a daughter (14) and she was diagnose in October 2021 with Autoimmune Pancreatitis.

After treatment with corticosteroid therapy she was pain free in the months January till March and most blood levels are fine. But since April she’s having stomach pain again and other problems like loss of appetite, tiredness, headache and often nauseous.

She’s still on medication for pancreatic insufficiency.

Because Autoimmune Pancreatitis is extremely rare within children, I want to try to get in contact with other parents with children who has had Autoimmune Pancreatitis, because the doctors doesn’t know at this point what to do at the moment because all tested blood levels are fine and she’s in every day pain 24/7.
