Mother had cataract surgery yesterday and during the course of it they lost her lens in back of eye and couldnt get it. Worked on it for two hours with her out but never could get it and since she was 86 didnt want to leave her out any longer. Sending her to a specialist tomorrow to see what they can do. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this??

Sounds like what i had "dropped nucleus", i also had to go back next day. If you read up on it that is the normal procedure. I was in there for 1hr 20mins, they are supposed to stop straight away when you read up on it but how do we know that, I asked for a general aneasthetic as i couldnt face being poked again. Ifelt ok the first day but when i started puttin the drops in, which there were a lot of i felt sick and dizzy so i stopped after a week, They have put one stitch in that needs to come out (i hope) in 2 more weeks, my eye is very sore, feels like grit in there. I do hope your mother doesnt suffer like i am, whereabouts are you, i am in Oxfordshire.

Your poor Mum my heart goes out to her, how on earth could they get it so wrong. Please let us all know how she gets on tomorrow
