Bartholin Cyst Marsupialization site hurting before my period.

I developed a bartholin abscess about three years ago. I had to had Marsupialization on it. It's always felt a bit sore before my period but never too bad that it bothered me. But 3 months ago it got so painful at the Marsupialization site and it swole up. I couldn't walk or sit. I took alot of baths and took alot of anti inflammatories. it went away in two weeks but now my period is due to come and this horrible pain and swelling is back on the same site. I can hardly walk or sit. Has anyone else had this experience?
