Benign Head Tremor

Posted , 1 user is following.

My head started shaking sometime about 20 years ago. Some days are better than others. Some days it isn't apparent at all. The worst shaking occurs in social situations, confrontational scenarios, new/strange environments. I also shake when I'm too cold or too hot, and when I'm in pain. I am best when alone and not stressing about much, but disturbing thoughts can bring them on, too. Was evaluated by a neurologist who said there was nothing he could offer except some pills that are used for epilepsy. I turned them down. I wanted to find a chiropractor but no one takes my insurance. Regular GPs don't have a clue, and everything across the web says the same thing: No cure but can be medically managed, try yoga, change your diet, get enough sleep, drink water yatta yatta yatta.... I used to be a dance teacher but stopped when the shaking became too apparent. Now I don't socialize due to the embarrassment and the strain it puts on my body to try & stop the shaking.
