Has anyone ever experienced a split second blackout that wakes you up while you're in a light sleep? It's really scary and makes me feel like I die for a split second! I've got Atrial Fibrilation and take bisoprolol and take gabapentin for a herniated disc in my neck that impinges on a nerve.

Those are benign, called hypnic jerks, or sensory sleep start, and have other names. Usually described as electric shock, sudden falling into a hole, sometimes with a leg jerk, but sometimes without.
I experience it sometimes.
