I am newly diagnosed with Bronchiectasis,I am 75,I really can't seem to tell if I have an infection or not,as I seem to cough up all day long and am not sure if this is what to expect from now on .Not sure when and if to send off a sample or not,or to start the antibiotic I have as a standby.Any help appreciated.

If your sputum is yellow/ green send in specimin .My respiratory nurse calls me if i need to start antibiotics
