Bruising easily and fatigue, worried.

I have been suffering from extreme fatigue so saw my GP who did some blood work. everything was normal except for a moderately low B12 (without anaemia)

Ive also had upper back pain and night sweats. My GP has attributed the symptoms to stress after my normal blood work but the last 2 days ive developed about 8 bruises on my arms/hands, legs and feet and i cant remember injuring them.

Could this really all be due to stress or do i need a second opinion? (im 28 and usually fit and well)

Hi from what I have read if I were you I'd definitely go for a 2nd opinion, the bruising does not sound normal to me. Yes when you reach a good age your skin gets thinner and the bruising get more define.

But hey your only young, my sister was told by a physiotherapist that the pain in her hips was all in her mind! 6 months later she had both hips replaced. Thank goodness she took a 2nd opinion.

did he run anemia tests? if he ran B12 they most likely did. this means your actual platelets are normal. lymphoma easy vruising comes from low platelets. However low B12 can cause easy bruising as well and major fatigue. its odd because i was almost in the same exact boat last year. Swollen nodes following a bad infection and mildly low B12 and easy bruising. the bruising went away when the B12 was fixed and most of the fatigue too. B12 isnt really related to lymphoma in any real way so its probably due to nild malabsortption issues some people have with B vitamins

It could be a number of things. It could be stress, or accidents or eating habits. Speak to your doctor.
