C282Y/H63D gene result - next steps

Hi,

Has anyone else had experience with a gene test that came back positive for C282Y/H63D ? Have normal ferritin and transferrin saturation but above normal range on serum iron level and serum transferrin. Have been referred to gastro for routine appointment as had some abdo pain for a while which is now better but apparently the referral can take up to 40 weeks!

As ferritin and transferrin saturation is ok does this mean I dont have haemochromatosis but more likely to go on to get it?
