Called in for face-to-face appt for blood test results

Hello, we received a text message from our GP today for my 16yo to come in to discuss her blood test results. A few factors that I am taking into consideration to assess the seriousness of the situation are:

-This was sent via text message from the practice

-We've not been booked in straight away but for the following Monday (15th)

-We've been booked in to see the nurse

So my questions are to anyone who has experience with this (I know all GP's are different), but is it normal to get called in for things such as low iron/vitamin deficiency as well as more serious things? And if it were something more serious, would we have received a call instead of a text, been offered as appt ASAP and been booked in to see a GP instead of a nurse? She has been getting irregular periods all of a sudden and is not without symptoms, this is why I am concerned. Any answers would be appreciated, many thanks.

You should be able to ring the Drs and find out why. I've done that before. Take care
