Can flu produce incontinence?

I've been dealing with the flu since Monday of this week, this being Friday and I seem to be well on the way to recovery today. However, early on it became apparent that I was unable to "hold it" at all on the way to the bathroom even though the amount of urine in the bladder was inconsequential. It just drained straight out. I've had the flu many times in my life but this symptom has never presented itself before. Is it possible it could be a result of this flu infection? I've also had some numbness in my two external fingers on my right hand as well as my tongue. My urethra doesn't feel numb, per se, but it sure doesn't seem to be working!
