im so sorry for your experience with this im 5 months in and sores just about gone. 5 month ordeal if i ever get this again i would go to an infectious disease doctor insist on IV onstead of oral antibiotics and not go to my primary doctor for this i would insist on stronger antibiotics and for 28 days i found these things worked for me: daily wash with dial antibacterial soap, i used triple antibiotic ointment and tea tree oil i used anti mrsa gauze pads every night to keep it clean and covered and elevated each night

      thank you for your advise.

in my case the swelling and redness reduced after 10 days in hospital.

but still some redness and pain is acute. GP started on second line anti biotic Clindamycin 300 mg four times a day.

in my 4th day NO improvement!!!

i told my GP it may not be cellulitis but something else.

hi hanif you will find that it will take some while for the effects to settle down what sandiann says is right about iv antibiotics you need to keep leg elivated as much as you can and this works for me after infection as settled keep leg covered i wear compression socks so its easy for me you must be wary as it can come back easeily and that shivers bitis near to sepsis so be very aware

      thanks for your advise.

@1. in my case left foot is more painful now than the day i left hospital. walking a few steps is a struggle as pain is excruciating. GP gave me strong painkillers but not helpful.

the redness is still there on left leg.

if no improvement by monday i will go to hospital and demand to see some specialist!!!

not sure which one though? dermatologist?
