Chronic otis media

Looking for advice for my 1 year old. Had chronic otis media since August. I just don't feel listened to by ENT or GP surgery. Hes had 9 rounds of antibiotics & 10 rounds of steroid drops. Nothing is clearing the pus out of his ear. 😪. No one has seen that his ear drum is intact because there is so much fluid in the way. I'm sure he does not hear out that ear. His language is well behind anyone elses child of a similar age. He is constantly back and forth to gp, daily calpol to settle him as much as I can.

Is there anything/anyway I can push for answers?

This sort of ear infection is very common in children under 2 yrs of age. Its because their resistance to common infections like colds is not yet developed, and also the ear canals are still very narrow so any infections tend to hang around.

You seem to have been given plenty of medication and Im not sure what else can be done at this stage.

If he becomes very poorly, hot, miserable and listless that is the time to take to A/e or an emergency doctors appointment, but he may be prone to these repeated infections until he is older.

At 1 yr old, his language skills are still developing and he will quickly catch up so please dont worry.
