External chronic fissure

Hello all, I am wondering if any of you have external fissure. I have had this for about 3 years now and have had various trips to Dr who has prescribed various creams I.e betnovate & dermovate and antihistamines but to date nothing has work. Getting desperate now, it's only tiny but is taking over my life, I can't remember the last time I wasn't sore.

Thanks

Hello wornout,   I feel your pain.  I had the fissures for 5 years then had the surgery in May 2014 which healed me.   We are all different, but these suggestions may work for you.  I still use them as I’m scared to ever suffer from fissures again so I take great care each day since then.

Try this:  After having a BM in the mornings use a preparation H suppository even if you are not hurting.   Then massage a little MSM cream at the entrance and a little inside this repairs the skin.  The MSM cream may sting briefly but then it goes away and gives great relief.    Many on this forum swear by coconut oil, it has not been of help to me but we are all different.  I still use a stool softener each evening before bed.   Fissures are hell to live with, but I’m sure you know that already.

I read about the MSM cream on another web-site written by a man who was advised to us the cream by his doctor.   I bought mine from amazon.

I wish you well.   MSM restores & repairs collagen tissue.

If I were you I would get the sphictoronomy surgery which is on the sphicter muscle. I had a bad fissure last  year and this  surgery helped me a lot. The sphicter muscle plays a large role in not allowing the fissure to heal on its own because the spasms do not allow the fissure tto heal. The only issue I had, if  you consider this an issue at all considering the amount of pain you have been in, is that after the surgery I do not  have as much control on whether I can stop my farts from coming  out in public  or not. Now, I will not tell you that it is not painful to go poop right after surgery, because it is, but after a few days it gets better. Besides that, I have been doing great. I hope this helps and may you  have a good reccovery. I am very sorrry that you have to go through this because noone should  have to go through anything like thiis.

Also, I always take a shower after i poop now and I also use the cream called calmoseptine.

    Hope this help!
