My ridiculous pain.. Sorry everyone for yours. I just am so fed up with FS

I've had back pain for years now this FS or capsulitus whichever a doc wants to call it.... I'll call it pain. They say it's "just tendens". Seriously the nerve pain goes down to my fingers. Which btw I didn't have before surgery. First they said it was as a torn labrum, then it was just capsulitus. It's been 3 weeks today and I could cry. I can't get dressed or blow dry my hair. Someone give me some hope. It started months ago, maybe 4 then I finally went in and the surgeon said I had to have surgery for a torn labrum. Now he's saying it was FS. I don't care about the name it's all just pain.?Again, sorry for all your pain too. I just have a hard time sleeping with my back (4 back surgeries) now this? Thanks and blessings!

It's an all too familiar story for many of us on here and we all understand what you are going through.  You need to get to see a consultant to be properly diagnosed, to ensure you get the right treatment.  Mine did an ultrasound scan to rule out the possibility of tears, bone spurs, etc.  We all know how terrible the pain is and it's been discussed many times on here - you'll find many different suggestions on here that might help.  My consultant recommended a treatment called hydrodilatation, which has stopped my pain and got me on the road to recovery (see the thread "Hydrodilatation - my experience" on here for more details).   The condition will get better in time - though that is of little comfort when you are in pain.  Try to push for an specialist consultation and let us know how you go on.  Good luck.

Thanks Maria... Sorry you went through it too. Isn't the MRI the deciding factor? That's why I'm confused. The MRI says initially I had a labral tear. After surgery my husband told me when I woke up that the MRI was wrong(huh?) and the surgeon just said my scar tissue was Sooo bad it showed up as that. Anyway he did a MUA diagnosed capsulitus or Whatever. Now pt is just pulling on it terribly? How is that helping but making me cry and not sleeping? Thank you for replyingsmile sorry you have gone through it

Hi, We have all experienced what you are going through, but unless you have the symptoms no one will know the pain you are experiencing. Yes there are all sorts of names for it but the bottom line is FS. Mine started Oct 2012 and I feel I am just coming out the other side. Many of us have the same symptoms others different but it is FS at the end of it all. We all have had sleeping issues, holding down a job, and just getting through each day. Capsular release revision may be an option, but it seems nothing is guarnateed. It seems what works for one may not work for others. Hang in there as this forum can be a god send.  Remember some of the discussions have given us all hope when they  say they have got through it.  Best Wishes.

Thanks Jay. Right now I'm just in pain, nothing knew for me but an added area. I'm really over my threshold with pain now. Along with back pain this has added a new twist that I didn't expect. I also feel I was lied to. When I woke up from my surgery, or as my husband says,"it wasn't surgery". Whatever, last I checked I was under a general but... My hubby said good news the MRI was wrong you didn't actually have a labral tear... They just did a MUA you'll be fine. Hmmm ok why do I 3 weeks later still feel like I'd rather someone take off my shoulder and arm? It was already been half a year before that.. I guess I thought I'd feel better, not worsesad I'm so tired of hearing, "well it's not like a rotor cuff". I didn't care. I hurt. Thank you for your empathy and I hope you continue to get better

HI, I had arthroscopic surgery done first, steroid injections, lost count how many, ultra sound, MRI's, MUA and like you in so much pain a few weeks later eventually 6mths after went for capsula release revision and I am the best I have been for 3.4 mths. Just sore rather than pain. There is hope. smile
