I am on a lesser dose than you, 100mg twice daily, and have not experienced your problem/side effect - BUT, you must contact your GP immediately to report this. Don't stick with it hoping it will go away, your dose may be too high for you to cope with and needs addressing urgently. I don't know how long you have been on Pregabalin, or how quickly your daily dose has been increased but if you have not had suicidal thoughts before obviously the Pregabalin is the first thing that needs to be looked at. Please see your GP asap and I hope that this can be resolved for you quickly. Be better soon and let us know how you are going.

    Best wishes

I know back pain can be very hard to bear and Pregab does work in a helpful way, but nothing is worth going through suicidal thoughts so you have done the right thing by speaking to GP today. I settled on 200mg a day after starting on 50mg twice daily, then 75mg and then 100mg twice daily. That took 3 months though as the GP did not want me to up the doses too quickly perhaps being aware that the side effects do not always show in early stages. It does not take away the lower lumbar pain from my back, just the trapped sciatic nerves caused by my bones crumbling and trapping them. I will not up my dose even though I am in a different sort of pain...I just do what I can before lumbar pain becomes unbearable, then sit until it calms down somewhat, then try again. I very much hope that you will be seen by a Specialist asap and things improve for you over time. Be kind to yourself

Hi Ironman, I've had terrible suicidal thoughts recently, though it's difficult to tell if it's situational, which is understandable as I'm unemployed longterm, or to do with the pregabilin.  Wondering what others think/ say.

Hi claire personally i think its down to the medication as i was perfectly fine on between 100mg and 150mg twice aday but as soon as they was increased the suicidal thoughts started as well as the aggression and depression but everyboady is different hope you feel better soon.
