Pain Meds

I have had surgery and injections with no help. I went to Mayo and the first thing the Neurosurgeon said was " no more surgery and no more injections".  He suggested the Nevro Spinal Stimulator, which I had done at Mayo. At first I got a small amount of relief.  Not now tho. I am still on Hydrocondin and Mayo is starting to refuse to give it to me. They said I have to get it from my Primary Care Dr. Who will not give it to me because I need to get it from a Pain Specialist. I went to a Pain Dr (that the PC suggested.) He said injections. (Do you see a pattern here). I am more then willing to drop the Hydrocondin (I take 2 a day due to the fear of getting "hooked"wink l  limit them, although I really need them more often.  Mayo gave me a prescription for Venlafaxine (Effexer) and it made me deathly sick.

My stomach tolerates very few meds.   I was wondering what other meds Drs. prescribe for pain. I know every person is different but feel knowing that might help me talking to my Dr.U

You have run into the sickest crap there is in my opinion. Doctors who call themselves PM doctors but all they do is injections. They don't prescribe pain meds. Your best bet is to find another PM doctor.
