Just remember healing takes a long time. If you are super concerned visit with your doctor.

Aaaarrrgggg...escape while you can!!!  With 4 1/2 pounds of metal in me, I can't imagine the Jersey cold in the winter and the brutal humidity in the summer. I escaped to Fort Worth when the temperature is always great, humidity low, cost of living real cheap, jobs are plentiful and they start planting flowers on February 1st.  Great move!!!

Had xray in the summer and ortho surgeon said he was pleased with what he saw.  At that time I was not having pain so nothing to mention to him.

What pain?  Where pain?  What does it feel like (aching, shooting...)?  Just the knee or back, hips, glutes?

Would consider the pain consistant ache with occaision sharp jab.  The knee.  With the responses I'm getinig here, I starting to think pain at this point in time is REALLY odd.  Anyone out there still having pain at 10 months out?

Hi janice. I am at 10.5 months post 2 knees replaced Mar 21. I was diagnosed with an effusion 5 months ago and yes I get pain. Antiinflammatories help. See Doc for blood test for possible underlying infection and x-ray. Seek help. Pain is warning. But, in the long run, we are still recovering. Good luck!

This definitely sounds knee-related and not something like sciatica.  At 10 months, I was basically pain-free so this is odd...especially the "sharp jab" kind.  Listen to Lyn and check with your doc.  A quick x-ray might reveal something.

Hi Janice.  I'm 13 months out & I went through the same thing.  I think it just takes time to "settle" in.  Right around the 11 or 12 month mark, everything felt much better & I often forget it all happened!  I honestly thought that day would never come!
