Consultant recomendation for my daughter - 9 years old

Hi, I have just found this site.  I was wondering if anyone could possibly recommend a good paediatric ENT surgeon/consultant for my 9 year old daughter.  She had cholesteatoma in both ears, has had 3 operations (2 to remove in ears and 1 to try to improve her hearing which didn't work) she's been through a lot poor thing, and has lost a lot of hearing in her left ear and in her right.

We are under a consultant in Watford but he is so rude and  has no bedside manner and gets  annoyed at her if she cry's or gets stresses out. (although as a surgeon I believe he is good) . As you all know getting ears  "hovered" is not the nicest of things for a 9 year old,  Unfortunately due to how he is (lack of patients etc) my daughter stresses out and gets anxiety when she needs to see him for check ups/cleaning..  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.    thank you.

Linda, my son has been operated in the left ear and had a titanium implant fitted by Dr. John Hamilton in November last year. His hearing has improved a lot. So far so good, ofcourse we have had such warm weather that the ear has loved it and is doing well. True test will be around Christmas. We are also doing Homeopathy for my son as a way to improve general constitution.

Talking about bed side manner, you will be pleasantly surprised by John H. He is based in Cirencester, google him and get touch with Melanie. his wife/ secretary.

    Best of luck.

My son also had Mr Hamilton and I highly recommend him! Google ‘John Hamilton Ear’ and his website should come up. Mr Hamilton specialises in cholesteatoma and is expert in using the laser to prevent recurrence and preserve hearing bones wherever possible.
