Continuous cough for months

i am a 70 years old female. had masectomy neary 5 years ago. i was told i would have an intermittent cough following radiotherapy. i did but it never bothered me as it was just that "intermittent " for the last few months its every day and night . Work colleagues and my partner commenting. I don't get any respite when bed time. chest xray recently only showed small line where my lung was affected. my doctor said its viral: gave me antibiotics even though couldn't diagnose anything. I don't think it'd to do with masectomy as its been 4 years intermittent and nit constantly like last few months. are there any other tests I can request that might show something?? sonar scan maybe? or blood rest fir any other underlying conditions. just a note my head doesn't feel right!! a bit flu like with vertigo symptoms. the balance issued started straight after having covid jab last November. any suggestions would be helpful thanks
