D dimer

I went to the ER back in September and my d dimer was 5400. I had what they thought was bronchitis after two negative covid tests I have since had my d dimer checked multiple times over the course of the last few months and as of January it is 2900 I havent been put on any blood thinners and have had the following tests

Clear chest xray with no PE

clear leg ULtrasound with no DVT

abdominal CT with no occult malignancy suspected

negative lupus test

no DIC

normal ESR and CRP

does anyone have suggestions?
