Depo shot advice

so I've been on the depo shot for 6 years now. I've done a-lot of research about it where your not supposed to be on it for more then 2 years as it causes bones to weaken. i had a knee operation where i had screws in my knee to hold it together and was worried this might effect it however when i spoke to my doctor regarding the issues she just kept saying i was fine on it but i don't feel i am as theres a few side effects I've read on that are relatable such as i cant seem to loose weight, my hair seems to be falling out only in small bits at a time but quiet frequently, my mood is awful even i can tell I'm being moody but cant seem to shake it. if anyone has any advice on what to do it would be much apreciated please note- it wasnt used as contraception i was on it to srop my periods
