Desensitisation (immunotherapy) NHS costs? Please share your experience

Posted , 1 user is following.

I know that NHS treatment is free in England, but prescription medication is not - so how does desensitization (immunotherapy) under NHS work in terms of costs? I don't pay for the nurse injecting the allergen ("treatment"), but I do pay for the shots she's injecting me with ("prescription medication") or the allergen pills I get prescribed ("prescription medication"), or that's not how it works? Anyone with experience please weight in
