Disassociation, vertigo, surreal feeling help

My "dizzy" spells have been 8 years now. It started because I went to the gym and worked out without eating enough. I fainted thus starting this surreal feeling went to the Dr and she found I had malnutrition. She then sent me to have tests done. When I took the glucose test 8 years ago they found I had Reactive hyperglycemia and seems to have went away according to the Endocrinologist Dr as of 2 years ago. Might have just been that I had malnutrition when they took the glucose test according to Endocrinologist.

I've recently I have been to specialists, all sorts of tests have been done. Rehab therapy, turning my head while staring at one spot. I had a test done where they put cold water in my ear for about a minute to see the reaction, the results came back normal. I've had blood work done, Vitamin D was low, stabilized it, I still having the disassociation feeling.

I can feel when my blood sugar drops it's like all the blood rushes to my feet. Or when you are on an elevator and it stops at the floor it does that little dip to line up to the door, I feel that inside my body. When my blood sugar is too high I get dizzy where I have to reach out and grab something because it feels like I will faint.

Now I have the disassociation feelings daily, more than any other feeling.

Endocrinologist Dr's, counselor, Ear nose and throat Dr's general Dr's. No one can pin point what is going on.

The types if "dizzy" feelings that I get are all a little different when they happen. Some times the room spins, sometimes I feel I am spinning. Some times I feel like I am walking on a cloud with my legs. When I close my eyes the feeling intensifies. One point I would walk and the floor would look like it was coming up and meeting my foot, like I was on a boat. I didn't know how far the floor was under me because it looked closer. Thankfully that only lasted a few weeks.

I thought that it was vertigo and tried the exercises, made it worse. I don't have the calcium/crystals in my ear causing any problems, I've had them checked multiple times. I thought maybe it was meiners but that didn't pan out for me either. When I start to walk at a brisk pace for a period of time that's when I feel like I am walking on a cloud, I'm not dizzy but my legs get a jello like feeling, when I close my eyes the sensation gets worse. That feeling is related to my heart beating fast and blood flowing. I can not exert myself in any way other wise I get "jello" legs.

Smoking intensified it I would faint after having a cigarette, I quit smoking 8 years ago.

Has anyone had these types of dizzy feelings? Or have an avenue I can explore that I have not explored?

highway hypnosis was a term I saw recently that described me best but it's all day for me not just driving.

It means:

Highway hypnosis, also known as white line fever, is an altered mental state in which a person can drive a truck or other automobile great distances, responding to external events in the expected, safe and correct manner with no recollection of having consciously done so.

yes amber. some of the things you are describing is vertigo. visual vertigo too. since you have had the proper testing, with the water in ears and that came back normal, it is possible that your vertigo is related to migraines. vestibular migraines. you dont need the headache , can be silent. can have an aura. where did you get the caloric testing done? at a dizzy clinic? the brain fog is a big part of VM- you need to see a neuro-ontologist. or otolaryngologist. this type of doctor is who specializes in this diagnosis. ENT- they are limited. regular nuerologist limited. if you have vestibular migraines, you need medication to reset your brain. remember dont discount this because you may not feel like you get headaches. you dont need the pain. i went thru same thing. i am better now because i was diagnosed properly. go to webmd look up the symptoms of vestibular migraines, see if they match you. its amazing that these doctors do not consider this when someone is suffering with this, but most dont. only the real specialists that i mentioned. i have been on medication since august. no more brain fog, no more dizziness. now i need to get rid of some visual vertigo issues and ringing in my ears. the meds immediately wiped out the brain fog and dizziness.

I know this is a long shot as the original post was 4 years ago, but would you be willing to share which medication helped you get rid of the brain fog and dizziness?

      Thanks.
