Dizzy immediately after eating

Posted , 2 users are following.

can feel totally normal, then eat something random and suddenly feel terribly dizzy., really like about to pass out. Then return to totally normal around an hour later.

Not tied to what I eat, ie had a bagal today and hit with immediate, horrendous dizzy and almost like panic attack. Contrasted to last night, had a 2 course reasonably heavy meal, felt totally fine.

Background, have had 8 months of side pain, sometimes on the left sometimes right. CT scan normal and recent fasting bloods normal (Inc glucose). ENT doesn't think its his area, eyes checked no issues. Have atrial fibrillation controlled by calcium channel blockers no issues usually.

really getting worried!

i know your glucose test was normal but have you thought about getting a glucose monitor at home so you can measure it yourself? a bagel is high carb, maybe the dinner you had the night before was higher in fat, perhaps its what your eating that causes a swing in your blood sugar levels. Eating fat or fibre etc with carbs slows down the absorption so maybe the larger meal had more of this and was absorbed slower.

second thought is maybe something to do with the vagus nerve.
